Who we are
This BioPods.com website is owned and operated by Biopods, LLC (hereinafter “Biopods”).
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
All credit card information processed through the Biopods.com website is encrypted and sent to Biopods via a secure server. Only Biopods can decode information. Additionally, Biopods thoroughly investigates the validity of all credit cards to protect against fraud. For our users’ protection, all orders must pass the Biopods comprehensive fraud check and verification of billing address before orders are shipped. Credit card numbers are not revealed when customer orders are confirmed.
Our website protects the security of personal information transmitted to us over the internet using SSl Technology, which encrypts the information. To guard against unauthorized access to any account, we recommend that users “sign off” when they have finished visiting our website.
Biopods uses the information that is collected from our visitors to personalize and improve their experience at Biopods.com. We gather the following types of information:
Personal information: We receive and store any information that is entered at Biopods.com, such as the date and time of site registration, order placement, contest or sweepstakes entries, responses to surveys or email communications, or participation in other site features. Examples include, but are not limited to, billing addresses, credit card information, phone numbers, and email addresses. This information is necessary for accurate processing and fulfillment of orders. Users can choose to omit requested information; however, as a result, we may not be able to process and fulfill their orders.
Automatic information: To make the shopping experience at biopods.com easier for subsequent visits, we receive and store certain types of information whenever the site is visited. For example, we use “cookies” to retain certain types of information when a web browser accesses biopods.com. This does not include the credit card information.

Your browser allows you to reject cookies. Software is available from third parties that will allow you to visit our website without providing the above-noted information. You are welcome at biopods.com if you use this software but you may not have access to personalized services.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

What does Biopods do with information it receives?
Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we do not sell this information to other companies. We do work with other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. Examples include order processing and fulfillment, catalog mailings, package and other postal mail delivery, email, removal of repetitive information from customer lists, data analysis, marketing assistance, and credit card payment processing. Access to limited quantities of personal information may be required in order to perform a given function, but is not permitted for other purposes.
When purchases are made online, email addresses are collected and may be used for the purpose of notifying customers about special deals, site improvements, and upcoming events. Biopods does not provide personal data, but retains the right to do so in the future.
Visitors and customers who provide Biopods with their postal or email addresses may receive new products and services information from Biopods, LLC.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How does Biopods safeguard my personal information?
At Biopods, the security of your personal information is a high priority. We maintain appropriate safeguards and current security standards to protect each customer’s personal information— whether recorded on paper or captured electronically—against loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
How can a customer opt out, remove, or modify information they have provided?
To modify email and postal mail subscriptions, preferences can be changed in the “My Account” section. Due to email production schedules, any emails already in production may be sent, but the change(s) will take effect before the next cycle.
To delete online account information from our database, customers can sign into the “My Account” section of our site to remove their shipping addresses, billing addresses, and payment information. Please note that information about an individual sales transaction may be maintained in order to service that transaction and for recordkeeping purposes.
To prevent receipt of email or postal mail from Biopods, an email should be sent to [email protected] or call the toll free Customer Service line: 1-866-802-2276.
Law Enforcement and Protection of BiopPods and Others
BioPods releases account and other personal information when release is appropriate to comply with law, enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of BioPods, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
BioPods reserves the right to cooperate with local, provincial/state, national, and international authorities in investigations of improper or unlawful activities and this may require the disclosure of personal information. We may also report to other organizations about improper or unlawful activities on any BioPods website and this disclosure may include disclosure of personal information relating to those individuals conducting such improper or unlawful activities.
In addition, in order to protect you and BioPods from fraudulent transactions, we may provide your online shopping-related information to a reputable outside organization to perform address verification. This address verification is intended to ensure that the “bill to” address that you provide matches your credit card address. The outside organization does not store any personal information that we provide from shopping transactions.
